Palmer Florida

Gwen Majercin

As a recently turned 20-year-old, Gwen Majercin, Palmer Florida student, walking through the hallway is one of our youngest students at Palmer Florida. She’s laser-focused and mature well beyond her years.

“It’s a bit surreal finally being here because I’ve known for so long that this is what I wanted to do it. In Kindergarten we were asked to draw what we wanted to be when we grew up. I drew a chiropractor with an adjustment table. So as you can imagine, finally starting the Doctor of Chiropractic program here at Palmer is just such a great feeling.”

Her educational path has been impressive. She started dual enrollment classes in 9th grade. She graduated high school with her associate’s degree. Her intense focus has come with some sacrifices in what many would classify as a non-traditional college experience. She took 21 credits each semester and graduated at just 19-years-old.

“It’s absolutely worth all of the sacrifices I’ve made. One hundred percent. I am very grateful for such a supportive family who always encouraged me to do whatever I wanted to pursue,” says Majercin.

As a fourth-generation (future) chiropractor, Majercin loved growing up in a chiropractic family. Her father is a D.C. practicing in Sarasota, alongside her office-manager mother. Her grandfather and great-grandfather are both Palmer College (main campus) graduates! She says she plans to practice with her parents after graduation, but she’d love to open her own practice in Arizona one day.

We’re so glad you’re on this path with us Gwen! Thanks for being Palmer Proud.
