Dr. Alana Callender receives Legacy Award

Alana Callender, Ed.D., senior director of Palmer History, was presented the 2015 Legacy Award from the League of Chiropractic Women during their annual conference this November in Nashville, Tenn.

“Dr. Callender is well-established as the profession’s preeminent chiropractic  historian,” said Roger Hynes, D.C., Museum educator/Technique associate professor. “She has not only done so much to preserve and promote chiropractic’s rich history, she has also been a mentor for many up-and-coming historians by helping them record history in a scholarly way.”

Dr.Callender has been the director of the Palmer Foundation for Chiropractic History since its inception in 1997. She oversees the historic displays and has lectured on historical topics on all three campuses.
