Palmer Momentum on Display at Florida Homecoming
Palmer College, The Trusted Leader in Chiropractic Education©, is on an upward curve in a challenging era. In the event’s first general session, Peter Martin, D.C., F.P.A.C., Florida campus president, acknowledged the work of Palmer’s faculty and staff and the support of alumni and friends in the achievements seen in the classrooms, clinics, research center and throughout our communities.
Dr. Martin’s presentation also focused on opioid abuse and chiropractic as a solution. He shared information on the upcoming national campaign by The Foundation for Chiropractic Progress® “Save Lives. Stop Opioid Abuse. Choose Chiropractic.”
LeRoy Perry, Jr., D.C., heralded as “the father of sports chiropractic” gave a stimulating presentation on the evolution of chiropractic in the world of sports. During a general session held on day two, Dr. Perry thrilled the crowd with a pictorial history of his role in breaking barriers as team chiropractor for several Olympic teams both in the U.S. and abroad. Dr. Perry also demonstrated the Spinal Decompressor he developed for use in the office and in the field.
The Continuing Education program included sessions on radiology, documentation, pediatrics, neuroscience, military and VA chiropractic, corporate chiropractic and more.
The President’s reception, Friday night celebration and five- and 10-year reunions gave everyone a chance to unwind, socialize, enjoy some great food and have fun.
The next Florida campus Homecoming will be held March 2-4, 2018. See you all then.
