Palmer announces new program to reward staff research

A message from Palmer Chancellor, Dr. Dennis Marchiori.

Vibrant, relevant research is one of the things that sets apart Palmer College of Chiropractic from the competition. While we lead the world in chiropractic research, we want to increase our research output — and do more to recognize the people behind the numbers.

With that in mind, I’m pleased to  announce  a new publication incentive program for Palmer College staff and administration.

Retroactive to July 2013,  if you’re  a non-faculty Palmer employee and you’ve been a sole or co-author on a published paper, you’re eligible to receive a bonus incentive. You can earn up to three awards annually. The program is capped at $30,000 per year, and the awards are tiered in the same fashion as for faculty. This program was made possible through a generous grant from the Harold R. Bechtel Charitable Trust.

The highest awards are for original research published in MEDLINE journals, but we’re also happy to provide bonus incentives for papers published in other professional scientific journals.

The program will be handled through the Palmer Center for Teaching and Learning. Contact Dr. Dana Lawrence for applications or additional information. We want you to take advantage of this, so please have at it, with our thanks for all that you do.

Dennis Marchiori, D.C., Ph.D., Chancellor
