The Library on the San Jose Campus is excited to host the new Meditation Room. Created by the Associated Student Government (ASG), the Meditation Room is a quiet and peaceful space where students can take time out from their busy days to relax, reflect, meditate or simply rest their senses.
We had to flip on the overhead lights in order to show you this cozy new spot, however, once you turn off those lights, you are greeted by the soft sounds of a fountain, low-light lamps and a beautiful sunset mural painted by Palmer student Ellen Kindlesperger. The room also features a sofa, bean bag chairs, yoga mats and pillows for maximum comfort.
The Meditation Room is proving to be a popular space for students! All they need to do is check out a key at the Library’s circulation desk.
There are a few simple guidelines for keeping the room in its tranquil state: We ask that there be no food or drink in the room and to please minimize the use of electronic devices. There is a shoe rack by the door so we can keep the floor clean.
We thank the ASG for creating this space and adding to the many resources students can find inside the Library!
